Hello! Hello! Thank you so much for stopping by!

My name is Sarah! I live in St. Paul, MN and I am a wife, momma and know every episode of the Golden Girls by heart. I am the opposite of domestic, but I love old enamelware if that makes up for it! Besides my family and friends, I've got mad love for spicy tuna rolls, bloody marys, live music, good books and pretty pictures.

Speaking of pictures, let me tell you about what I do!

One of the biggest reasons I got more serious about photography was because I wanted to capture my kiddos in a less stressful environment than a department store studio. Did you see me there? You might have. I was the mom who was sweating and trying to wrestle two kids to smile at the camera in the 15 minute time slot we were given. This is not a dig on these type of studios, but it just wasn't a good match for us. My kids take at least 30 minutes to warm up and I am way too anxious (and sweaty apparently) to have a good experience with that kind of pressure.

So, I invested in a nice camera. It was great! Instantly I was taking better pictures. I wanted them to be better, though. So. . . I took that camera off auto, I read books, articles, took classes, joined forums, purchased new equipment and practiced, practiced, practiced! I started out taking pictures of some of my friend's families for fun and I really enjoyed it. After several years of photographing families, I am making some changes and specializing in something I call Heirloom Sessions. To learn more about this type of session click HERE.
